At the SC Black Maternal Health Collective, we are dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by Black, Brown, and Indigenous women in South Carolina, particularly around maternal health and family support. Our programs are designed to uplift and empower women by offering essential resources, advocacy, and education.
The Village Diaper Program is one of our core initiatives, aimed at combating diaper insecurity among families in need. Many families in underserved communities struggle to afford an adequate supply of diapers, which can lead to health risks for their children and added stress for parents. Our program seeks to ensure that no family has to make the difficult choice between purchasing diapers or other necessities.
Provide free diapers to families in need, focusing on underserved areas across South Carolina.
Raise awareness about the importance of diaper access for child health and well-being.
Offer education and resources for parents, helping them connect with other maternal health services and support systems.
Families in need can access diapers by filling out or Village Diaper Program Eligibility Form or through our community outreach events, such as the Community Baby Showers. We also accept donations from local businesses, individuals, and partner organizations to sustain and grow this program.
If you’re interested in supporting the Village Diaper Program, we welcome both financial donations and diaper donations. You can also volunteer with us to help with diaper drives, packing, and distribution.
